Ventenner founder and frontman Charlie Dawe releases the original motion picture soundtrack for psychological horror ROOM TONE, just in time for Halloween.
Some horrors are better heard than seen, and musician, producer and composer Charlie Dawe, the creative force behind industrial alternative rock project Ventenner, is bringing the unsettling world of ROOM TONE to listeners with the release of its official soundtrack.
Released on October 30 through Athanor Records, the eight-track album features 23 minutes of original music from the psychological horror short produced by Disturbia Films in collaboration with Witch Hunt Pictures, directed by Lu Wolf.

Known for blending industrial rock, atmospheric electronics and darker experimental textures, Dawe has spent years developing Ventenner’s distinctive musical identity. His work also extends into film scoring, where sound becomes an essential part of the storytelling experience.
And with ROOM TONE, sound is where the nightmare begins.
The film follows Claire, a sound recordist sent alone to capture ambient audio inside an apartment where a tenant has died. What begins as an ordinary recording assignment takes a disturbing turn when something seemingly impossible begins listening back through her headphones.
With sound playing such a central role in the film’s psychological terror, Dawe’s musical contribution is an important element of its atmospheric storytelling.
Featuring eight compositions, including “Incomplete Reality,” “Something Is Listening,” “Lost” and “The Last Thing,” the soundtrack brings the film’s musical world into a standalone release for audiences to experience beyond the screen.
The release follows ROOM TONE receiving an Honourable Mention at Hollywood Horrorfest 2026, adding another milestone to the independent production’s festival journey.
For fans of psychological horror, industrial music and cinematic soundtracks, this latest release offers an opportunity to explore another side of the creative talent behind Ventenner.
ROOM TONE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is available now through Athanor Records.
Sometimes the most terrifying thing in the room isn’t what you see. It’s what you hear.
